1. The clothes you are buying are not cohesive. When you find a top that works make sure you have a bottom to wear with it. If you do not, consult a client advisor, stylist, or sales associate.
2. Almost every clothing store releases a look book. The store layout reflects this look book thus making our lives easier to find what we need.
3. This does not go without saying: if the fit isn’t right on one of the pieces whilst trying on an outfit, do not buy both! Instead simply take a picture of the area of the store where you found the piece you like and find similar styles somewhere else.
4. Preference over utility. You are buying clothes you like instead of clothes you need. Do some of your favorite styles
5. We all have a colour palette that works to enhance our features. Once we know what our colours are it is easier to build our basics.
